Secret Mums Business GoalsAre you like me and every morning you open your email to see yet another offer (or ten of them) on how you can increase your business, get more clients, earn more money…….?  If you are anything like me you have paid lots of money to learn how to “do” the right things to build your business but things can often still be a struggle.  You look at what other people are doing, how they get clients, how they become successful but no matter what you do you don’t seem to be able to make the change from where you are to where you want to be.  In the words of Einstein – “the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and expecting a different outcome”.

If you want a different outcome then maybe it’s time to stop spending money learning the same thing from a different person and start being the type of person you want to be.

Next time you look at someone more successful than you, really look at the type of person they are being.  You already know what they do (you have probably spent thousands of dollars learning it), but do you see how they act, how they feel, how they react – what type of person are they?  When we stay in the act of doing, we sit in our own space of mediocrity and the only thing that will happen is that you get more stressed and overwhelmed.

Find yourself a role model, someone who you believe is successful in their life and their business, and learn from them.  Observe what they do and what they say, follow them on social media (don’t stalk!) and then do what they do.  Ask yourself ‘what would xx do in this situation?’ and then step into those shoes and be that person.

The following words come from Richard Branson –

“Have faith in yourself.  Think yes not no. Live life to the full. Never give up.”

The person who lives by these words, doesn’t worry about what everyone else is doing.  The person who lives by these words is confident, is a risk taker, is a success, he is also rich and he is fun.  Who would you need to be, to live by these words?

When you are being the person you want to be, the doing and the having will naturally follow.  Next time you are comparing yourself to someone else and wondering what you are doing wrong, consider that you are doing nothing wrong you are just not being the person you need to be.
