Chakra with wings low resLast week I introduced you to the world of Chakras, focusing on the Root Chakra. This blog post, I’m going to talk to you about the Sacral Chakra. So what is the Sacral Chakra?

REPRESENTS: Feelings and flow

LOCATION: Lower abdomen

WHAT DOES IT FOCUS ON?

  • Connections and ability to accept others and new experiences
  • Emotions and creativity
  • Accepting people and situations without judgement
  • Represents flow and the water aspects of the body
  • The Flow and fluid inside and outside cells
  • Associated with the bladder, kidneys and intestine
  • Organs of creativity – our reproductive organs and pelvic area

EATING FOR GREATER CONNECTION WITH YOUR SACRAL CHAKRA

  • Spend time creating meals rather than having fast food or taking away
  • Pay attention to your senses and emotions when eating
  • Tune into your emotions when choosing and preparing foods. How does it make you feel?
  • Make eating fun, reconnect to the child within and enjoy your food.

FOODS TO FOCUS ON FOR FEELINGS AND FLOW

  • Water is the most healing substance for this chakra and the body
  • Aim for 2 -3 litres of water a day
  • Eat foods high in water content such as oranges, watermelon, grapes from the fruit world and from the land of veggies, reach for celery, tomatoes and cabbage.
  • Good fats and oils are great for the flow and function of cell membrane, brain function and much more.
  • Fish is good because it’s energy is so closely tied to water
  • The Sacral Chakra vibrates at a frequency close to the colour orange so add orange food into your diet. Think sweet potato, pumpkin, carrots and ahem…oranges! Orange food is high in antioxidants which help protect cells.

So time to focus on getting the Sacral Chakra flowing. Your emotions, relationships with others and yourself will benefit.

Infinite Love and Gratitude.
